DAVUTPAŞA CENTRAL LIBRARY NEW SEAT RESERVATION SYSTEM RULES OF USE:
DAVUTPAŞA CENTRAL LIBRARY NEW SEAT RESERVATION SYSTEM RULES OF USE:
Dear Users,
On Friday, January 2, 2025 (today), we have transitioned to the new library reservation system.
Users who wish to use our library via the reservation system must first download the “Cep Kütüphanem” mobile app from the Apple Store or Google Play (https://cepkutuphanem.com.tr) or log in to the system using their library membership credentials at https://ktprezervasyon.yildiz.edu.tr/, select an available date and time, and complete the reservation process.
Important points to note regarding the reservation system are as follows:
RESERVATION PROCEDURES
After making a reservation, users will be able to pass through the turnstiles by scanning the QR code generated from the link in the SMS sent to their mobile phones.
Seating areas can be reserved remotely or on-site (at the entrance) up to 3 (three) days in advance.
Reserved seats appear in gray, while unreserved seats appear in green.
If users are unable to attend their reservation, they can log in to the system and cancel their reservation up to 60 minutes in advance via the “Reservation History” tab.
Users must scan their QR code or the ID card provided by the school for their reserved seat within the first 30 minutes of the reservation time. Otherwise, the reservation will be automatically canceled.
In addition to your current reservation, you are granted a certain number of reservation slots on the same day within the limits set by the system (as determined by the administration).
On the same day, provided there is availability (open seats) in sessions and seats within the system, users may make up to 4 (four) reservations.
Users who make a reservation but do not use it will be blocked from making new reservations for 1 (one) day by the system.
A library staff member may make corrections and/or cancellations to reservations if deemed necessary.
GROUP STUDY ROOM RESERVATIONS
- For Group Study Room reservations, the Turkish ID card numbers of at least 3 people must be entered.
- All users must be present in the library at the time of the reservation.
LIBRARY ENTRY AND EXIT RULES
- Access through the turnstiles will be granted by scanning the QR code generated via the link in the SMS sent to your mobile phone after the reservation, or by presenting the ID card provided to you by the University.
- You may enter through the turnstiles no more than 15 minutes before your reservation time. You cannot enter the library before this time.
- Users wishing to enter the library solely for book borrowing and return transactions may do so by logging into the Cep Kütüphanem Mobile App, tapping the QR button in the submenus, and using the QR code displayed on the screen.
NOTE: Our university’s academic and administrative staff may enter freely by scanning their institutional ID cards for visits and book borrowing/return transactions (excluding access to their work areas).
USE OF BREAK TIME
- Users are allotted a total of 75 minutes of break time per session. (This time is allocated as 15 break credits and can be used in as many increments as desired.) Breaks cannot be combined with break credits from other reservations.
- Break entry and exit can be processed by scanning an ID card or a QR code via the Cep Kütüphanem mobile app at the turnstiles.
- Users who exceed their break time will be notified via SMS; their reservation will be canceled, and their tables will be cleared by a library staff member.
- Users who fail to comply with the usage rules or violate them will be barred from making reservations for 1 day.
- Reservations for users who do not enter through the turnstiles or return to their seats after the break period has ended will be canceled.
