INTERLIBRARY LOAN

 

This service allows you to obtain books, articles, and other publications not available at the Yıldız Technical University Library from other university libraries through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service.

 

Who Can Use This Service?

 

All academic staff at Yıldız Technical University can use this service.

 

How Many Publications Can Be Borrowed at a Time?

 

This number varies depending on the policies of the lending library.

How to Use This Service?

 

Log in to the Yordam2001 program, which is the library’s OPAC, using your special login credentials. After logging in, fill out and submit the “Loan Request Form.”  You can use this form to submit requests for books or articles that are not available in our library but are available in another library, whether for borrowing or photocopying. After entering the required information in the form fields, click the “Save” button. Your request will be processed through the Interlibrary Loan module, and the result will be communicated to you via email or phone. Click the link below for more information.

 

What Are the Responsibilities of a Reader Requesting a Publication Through Interlibrary Cooperation?

 

· Payment of the fee charged by the library from which the publication is requested and the shipping fee

· Returning the publication to the library within the requested timeframe

· Complying with any penalties imposed by the lending library or paying the requested amount in the event of damage, wear and tear, or loss of the book

· Reference materials

· Audiovisual materials (films, cassettes, videos, compact discs)

· Special Collections

· Complete issues and volumes of periodicals
