TSE (Turkish Standards)
NOTE:
Regarding TSE Membership:
Standards published by the Turkish Standards Institute are provided free of charge via email by our Library and Documentation Directorate.
The following procedure is used to obtain standards:
- Users should visit https://intweb.tse.org.tr/Standard/Standard/StandardAra.aspx to identify the standards they need.
-Following their search, they must submit the “TSE standard number and title” they have requested to ayse.guzel@yildiz.edu.tr (Electronic Resources Unit).
IMPORTANT:
- Users who are not YTÜ affiliates cannot use this service. Only standard requests submitted via a YTÜ email address will be considered.
- Requests are sent via email within 3 business days of the request date, depending on workload.
- A maximum of 3 standard requests may be submitted on the same day.
- Your inbox must be empty for the standard files sent in PDF format to reach you. If your inbox is full, the requested standards may be returned, which could cause delays.
Turnitin
IMPORTANT NOTE:
*When uploading a thesis to Turnitin, you must select “STORAGE” for the “storage area” under “optional settings.” Issues have arisen with documents uploaded to Turnitin being accidentally sent to the repository and then deleted from the user’s account (resulting in a 100% similarity score, for example). Even if a document is deleted from your account, it is not deleted from the repository. To have a document permanently removed from the repository, you can submit a request for permanent deletion through your account. Since the technical team must be contacted to locate documents deleted directly from accounts, this process may take some time. Therefore, to avoid any inconvenience, we strongly urge you to exercise caution in this matter.
- To register an account, please submit a request at ayse.guzel@yildiz.edu.tr.
YÖK Thesis Center
NOTE:
Only faculty members may request theses from YÖK through TÜBESS. Requests can be submitted using the “Document Request” form available on the library’s website.
